What is HappySneeze?

HappySneeze is a Pelvic Health Program that provides education, guidance, and support for people who have been recommended home exercises or Kegel exercises to reduce Stress Urinary Incontinence, aka pee leaks that happen when downward pressure in your vaginal area occurs, such as when you jump, sneeze, or cough.

The Program is delivered in a friendly mobile app, and it counts on continuous support from a Nurse via chat or email.

Who is HappySneeze for?

HappySneeze is designed to support you in reducing Stress Urinary Incontinence, aka pee leaks that happen when downward pressure in your vaginal area occurs, such as when you jump, sneeze, or cough.

Complete the screener questionnaire on www.happysneeze.com to learn if we can be a good option to help you.

Who is HappySneeze
NOT for?

HappySneeze is not designed for people with pee leaks that Stress Urinary Incontinence does not cause, some of them being:

  • Urge Urinary Incontinence or Overactive Bladder. This is when you feel a sudden urge to pee.

  • Nocturia: this is when you have to wake up at night to urinate.

  • Or pee leaks caused by neurological conditions such as palsy,  Alzheimer’s, or dementia.

How does HappySneeze work?

HappySneeze is divided into 2 Modules:

Module 1: Rehabilitation has 40 daily units that take between 5 and 10 minutes to read or watch on the app. It consists of daily rehabilitation exercises and education to keep your vaginal muscles healthy.  A Nurse will support and guide you via chat; you can contact her anytime between 9-5 pm EST.

Module 2: Integration has seven weekly units delivered by email once a week with practical guidance to integrate what you have learned during the initial 40 days in your real life through what we call Happy Habits. Our Nurse will continue to support you during this time.

How long does it take to complete the Program?

The Program takes about 90 days to complete with the goal of re-training your vaginal muscles and developing healthy habits that protect them for the long run.

While 90 days may feel like a long time to commit to, the Program is designed to only take 5-10 minutes (some days less!) on the app for the first 40 days. You can watch or read the daily content anywhere, your work desk, the couch, on a bus ride, and then practice what you learn during your daily activities.

What can I do to complete the Program and get better?

The Program's effectiveness depends on different factors, and it is highly related to consistently practicing the recommended daily rehabilitation exercises.

So, what makes a user practice consistently? Our data shows that some users finish the program at higher rates. Below is what we have discovered:

  • Motivation: users who are serious about reducing their incontinence symptoms tend to complete the program at higher rates than those who “want to give it a try.”

  • Severity: users with more frequent leaks and who are more bothered by them tend to finish at higher rates than those with less frequent leaks or those who have normalized or gotten used to leaking.

  • Curiosity! We have found that those users that stay curious and want to learn more about their bodies tend to finish the program at higher rates than those that “want to be told what to do.”

As you can see, a lot has to do with your mindset, so we hope these points can help you get in the right headspace to get started. Then, our Nurse will team up with you to keep your energy and motivation high!

I know I need to take care of my pee leaks, but my life is crazy. I am not sure I can commit right now.

Staying consistent is extra hard when taking care of babies and small children, and you may also be working or having other family or life commitments.

We have designed the program so you can take care of yourself through the ups and downs of real life. This is how we do it:

  • You have 12 months to complete the program, and you will have access to our Nurse during all that time.

  • While staying consistent during 90 days is recommended, if you need to take a break, our Nurse will discuss with you how to re-engage and make recommendations on what you can practice even when you are not following the program daily on the app.

Should I wait to start until “things are calm”?

What you will learn is meant to be applied to your real-life activities and habits immediately, so every day counts. Most users will start experiencing positive results in the first week of the program.

And… when are things ever calm anyway? :-)

Do I need a device or fitness equipment?

No devices or fitness equipment are required. Just an Android or iOS smartphone.
